Box Office 10 Year Low

October can be a slow month, but the first two weeks in October reveal a 10 year low. This jibes with an recent study of “entertainment choices” conducted in September in all states and Canada. The survey revealed the Internet is now the number one “place to go” for entertainment:

  • 36.4% “can’t live without internet”
  • 30.6% “can’t live without books”
  • only 9.7% “can’t live without theatrical movies”
  • 18.4% “can’t live without TV movies

When these numbers are combined with the somewhat less enthusiastic ratingss “I Love to Indulge” and “Of Course I Indulge” the numbers even out only somewhat:

  • 82.6% for internet
  • 74.9% for books
  • only 56.5% for theatrical movies
  • 77.9% for TV movies
